Solar companies come and go, but your panels are meant to last for decades. If the company that installed your system has closed, moved on or simply stopped returning calls, your system is what the industry calls orphaned. Sunlight Electric services orphaned solar systems across Idaho Falls and eastern Idaho, so you're not left on your own when something goes wrong.
Signs Your System Needs Attention
Problems with solar aren't always obvious. Watch for a power bill that has crept back up, a monitoring app that's gone offline or shows errors, an inverter with warning lights or a blank display, or damaged wiring and loose conduit on the roof. Any of these can mean your system is producing less than it should, or nothing at all.
How We Help
We start with an inspection of your panels, inverter, wiring, disconnects and monitoring. Because we're licensed electricians, we look at the whole system, including how it connects to your electrical panel and meter. Then we explain what we found and what it will take to get your system producing again, whether that's a repair, a component replacement or reconnecting your monitoring.
Equipment We Know
We work with Enphase, SolarEdge, Sol-Ark, EG4, SMA, APsystems and OutBack equipment regularly. If your system uses something else, call us anyway; we'll tell you honestly whether we can help.
Upgrades and Ongoing Maintenance

Will you work on a system another company installed?
Yes. We service solar systems we didn't install, including systems whose original installer has closed or stopped responding.
How do I know if my system isn't working?
Common signs are a power bill that crept back up, a monitoring app that's offline or showing errors, or warning lights on your inverter. Give us a call and we'll help you check.
Is my equipment still under manufacturer warranty?
Many panel and inverter manufacturers offer their own warranties even if the installer is gone. We can help you identify your equipment and work with the manufacturer where possible.
